Community matching, without the guesswork
Preferences are a filter, not a verdict. They should be stated by the member and changeable at any time.
What members can set
- Community and sub-community, where they choose to state it.
- Mother tongue and languages spoken at home.
- Region and willingness to relocate.
- Age range, education and occupation preferences.
- Dietary and lifestyle preferences, if they matter to the family.
Why we do not infer
Some platforms infer community from a surname or a gotra. That is guesswork dressed as data, and it is frequently wrong. If a member wants community to matter in their search, they state it. If they do not, we do not guess on their behalf.
Preferences versus deal-breakers
Distinguish between what you would prefer and what you will not compromise on. Profiles that list fifteen deal-breakers receive few expressions of interest. Two or three honest ones work better than a long list copied from a template.
When families search together
A profile can be managed jointly by the member and a family member, with the member's consent recorded. The member remains the account holder and can revoke access.
Questions people ask
Can I search outside my community?
Yes. Community is an optional filter. You can widen or remove it at any time.
Is community information public?
It is visible to signed-in members according to your visibility settings, and profiles are not indexed by search engines.
