Matrimony, with the checking shown
Verified before visible.
Honest about the rest.
Every matrimony site says "verified". Almost none say what was verified. We list the checks a profile has passed and label everything else as self-declared, because a badge that means nothing is worse than no badge.
Free to create a profile. Contact is mutual-consent only.
- Checks listed individually per profile
- Self-declared details labelled as such
- Contact only after mutual interest
- No profile visible to search engines
What we check, and what we do not
-
Identity document
A government identity document is matched to the name and date of birth on the profile. We confirm the document is legible and consistent. We do not verify employment, income or family background.
-
Contact details
A phone number and email are confirmed by OTP. That proves the person can receive messages — it does not prove they are who they claim to be, which is why identity is a separate check.
-
Intent statement
Each profile states what they are looking for and by when. Vague profiles are the most common complaint on matrimony sites; a required statement filters some of them out.
-
What stays self-declared
Education, salary, height, family details, photographs and horoscope information are entered by the member. They are shown as self-declared, not verified, unless a separate check has been completed.
How contact works
-
Both sides express interest
A profile becomes contactable only when both members have expressed interest. Nobody's number is visible to someone they have not accepted.
-
Contact details are released once
After mutual interest, the contact details each member chose to share are released. Not the full profile, not the documents.
-
Family can be included
A profile can nominate a family contact for the first conversation. Many families prefer that, and the platform should not pretend otherwise.
-
Withdraw any time
Interest can be withdrawn, and contact details stop being shared. Blocking is one action, and the other side is not told who reported them.
What a verification badge should tell you
| Claim | What it can mean | What it cannot |
|---|---|---|
| ID verified | The document matches the name given | That every detail on the profile is true |
| Phone verified | The number receives messages | That the person owns the number long-term |
| Photo verified | The photo matches the person on a live check | That it is recent or unedited |
| Income verified | A document supports a stated figure | That the figure will continue |
| Family verified | A family member has confirmed awareness | That the family agrees with the match |
The word "verified" has been spent
On most matrimony platforms, verified means the email opened. That is not dishonesty so much as inflation: a badge is cheap to issue and expensive to define. We would rather show four separate checks with a date next to each, and leave the rest clearly labelled, than put one gold tick on a profile and let it imply everything. It is less impressive on a landing page and considerably more useful in a conversation with your family.
- Each check is named and dated on the profile.
- Unchecked fields are visibly marked as self-declared.
- Photographs carry the date they were uploaded.
- Documents are never shown to other members — only the result of the check.
Common questions
Is my profile visible on Google?
No. Profiles are not indexed and are only visible to signed-in members who meet the visibility rules you set. You can also hide your profile from search within the platform.
What does verification actually prove?
It proves specific things, not everything. An identity check confirms the name and date of birth match a government document. It does not confirm income, family background or intent. Each check on a profile names what it covers.
Can I hide my contact details?
Yes. Contact details are released only after mutual interest, and you choose which details to share. You can withdraw interest and stop sharing at any time.
Do you allow community-specific matching?
Yes. Members can state community and language preferences, and search within them. Those preferences are set by the member, not inferred, and can be changed.
A profile you can actually check.
Identity, contact and intent — stated separately, not rolled into one reassuring word.
